S3D Modelingâ„¢ Product Brochure
The brochure provides an overview of the S3D Modelingâ„¢ product family. S3D software is a set of scientific tools for 3-dimensional modeling of granular structures and substances. It provides comprehensive visual and quantitative analysis of structural characteristics, such as spatial density, spatial porosity, spatial distribution, grain and pore structure and many others.

Methods of Computational Modeling and Analysis of Porous Structures
This document demonstrates several methods of computational modeling of porous structures suitable for various types of granular materials and substances. Computational algorithms and models are produced with S3D SpheroPackâ„¢ and S3D PorouStructureâ„¢ software products by Smart Imaging Technologies. Models demonstrated in this document allow measuring of variety of characteristics of porous space including integral porosity, permeability, pore size, length of pore channels and others.
Structure Modeling in Reinforced Concrete
Document includes the example of packing particles of 3 types:
  1. Long thick spherocylinders, which represent the skeleton of the structure. Three of these spherocylinders are equidistant and vertically oriented and the other one is horizontally oriented and is touching the vertically oriented spherocylinders, partially intersecting them
  2. Spheres – filler component (80% volume)
  3. Spherocylinders – filler component (20% volume)
Sphere Packings in a Cylindrical Bunker
Document includes the example of packing particles:
  1. Mono-modal sphere packing with Gaussian size distribution (5,000 particles)
  2. Bi-modal sphere packing with Gaussian size distribution (20,000 particles)
  3. Tri-modal sphere packing with Gaussian size distribution (25,000 particles)
