S3D SpheroPolyhedra™ Overview

S3D SpheroPolyhedra™ is a new solution that allows modeling complex structures using the so-called "SpheroPolyhedra" - 3D objects generated by "rounding" edges of polyhedra by a sphere with a specified radius.

S3D SpheroPolyhedra™ can be used to model structures that consist of particles with different shapes and sizes. Compared to packing spheres, this solution is more flexible in terms of the used objects. Users can create their own spheropolyhedra that correspond with the form of the real particles used in the modeled processes.

The On-line Model section features the executable Web page that allows building packings of various spheropolyhedra. The page is supplied with extensive explanatory material that outlines the concept of spheropolyhedra and packing algorithm, describes customization of the settings and lists the hints of using the solution.
