Zirconium Grain Size Analysis (ASTM E112, DIN 50601)

Problem solved:
Images of zirconium-based alloy microstructure are analysed in order to determine grain size.
Micrograin number is determined according to ASTM E112 and DIN 50601 standards.

Solution:
The solution includes automatic reconstruction of grain boundaries network and analysis of individual grains, determination of  area fractions occupied by micrograins of different grades, building grain size distribution histogram, and report generation.

Determined parameters:
For every field and every zone the grain size parameters are determined by any arbitrary number of view fields (images).

A report is generated, containing measurement results for every field and accumulation results for all fields.
