Weld Quality Evaluation for the Ribbed Pipes

Problem solved:
The solution analyzes the image of the ribbed pipe in order to evaluate the quality of the weld that attaches the rib to the pipe body.

Solution:
Weld quality in this solution is determined as a ratio of the defects total length to the length of the weld. The following formula is used:

In the above formula N - is a number of images, l - length of the weld line (straight), d - projection of the defect on the weld line, k is the number of defects of the i-th image and tresh - weld thickness.

Determined parameters:
The solution produces the series of parameters, including the analyzed area, content of graphite as a whole, content of specific graphite types, and the error of determining the content for every inclusion type.
